Monday Night Update

Erin is keeping us on our toes. Today the top notch staff at Ochsner noticed Erin hasn't responded as well as she had late last week. They gave her a CT scan at around 1400. After reviewing the scan it was determined that she may be experiencing an increase in swelling. They will give her another scan tomorrow morning to decide whether or not to put in a shunt to relieve some pressure.
This is one of the setbacks the doctors have warned us about. We are staying positive that she will bounce back and continue to improve.

  2. I didn't know Erin personally at Chapelle since she was a year ahead of me. But I definitely knew of her. There are just some names that stick to a time and place in your memory bank and when I started hearing from different circles of friends about her situation, I immediately knew where I recognized her name. Some people just stand out like that. I feel compelled to let you know that I am keeping Erin and her family in my thoughts and prayers continually. I can tell from the sincerity of my friends' fb posts that Erin is a very special person. I pray that God sends the angels that watch over me to Erin and to help the many angels that already watch over her.

I haven't seen Erin in many years, probably since Chapellettes in 1994. I had the pleasure of passing the office of Secretary down to her. I think of her several times a day and she is in my prayers daily. As an occupational therapist I know that she has a long road ahead of her. The tremendous amount of love and prayers and support that she has behind her will do awesome things! Keep fighting Erin!!!!
